This painting symbolizes the Big Bang—the creation of the universe, of light, time, and life—13.7 billion years ago. It represents the primordial explosion, depicted in this work by a thick buildup of paint in different colors at the center, containing all the matter of our universe concentrated within a very small volume. Blue, the predominant color in the central area, appears to burst outward against the ivory background.

In this artwork, I sought to capture the explosive and mysterious energy of an inner Big Bang, using deep shades of blue to evoke infinite depth and power.
